Detectives from Crash Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate a fatal single-vehicle crash on Nov. 9 around 9:20 a.m. Officers responded to the 10000 block of Ox Road in Lorton for a crash involving a car that hit a concrete barrier. According to FCPD, the driver of a 2016 Nissan Versa was travelling southbound on Ox Road, ran off the road on the right side, and hit the barrier. The driver -- identified as 48-year old James Stephens -- was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor; however, detectives are still working to determine if speed was a factor.
