McLEAN DISTRICT STATION


SHOOTING: 8400 block of Wesleyan Street, 7/30/22, 4:52 p.m. Officers responded to a home for a shooting. The investigation revealed the victim was a former tenant of the home and was there visiting a 30-year-old man from Vienna. Preliminarily, detectives believe the man from Vienna got into a verbal altercation with someone on the phone when he shot the victim in the upper body. The victim was outside the home when officers arrived and was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening. The man came to the door and refused to follow officers’ commands. Officers from our Special Operations Division responded and took him into custody. He was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening. The man has been charged with malicious wounding, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.


BURGLARY: 6901 Haycock Road (Faith Bible Presbyterian Church), 7/31/22, 5:17 p.m. A witness called police after noticing two men forced entry through a window and took property. Two teens, 18, from Falls Church, were located by officers inside the church. The teens were charged with burglary and felony destruction of property. Additionally, one of the teens was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement. 

 
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6220 block of Old Dominion Drive (Sherwin Williams & New Star Asian Bistro), 8/1/22, 6:54 a.m. Someone forced entry into two adjacent businesses and took property.


SHOOTING: 2800 block of Fairmont Street, 8/3/22, 7:03 p.m. A man shot the victim in the upper body. The victim was treated from injuries that were not considered life-threatening. This does not appear to be a random act.
